The course focuses on the analysis, evaluation, and improvement of quality based on statistical tools. Topics include process capability analysis, statistical process control, experimental design and the Taguchi method, and acceptance sampling. The emphasis is on the assessment of quality and the design of alternate processes and/or quality assessment schemes to improve quality.
