ERS 234 – LEC 0.50 – Course ID: 013898 – Forest Ecosystems

This course examines the fundamental concepts of forest ecology and the role of forests in terrestrial ecosystems. The course will be divided into four sections, and will integrate case studies to introduce the student to current research problems in the study of forest ecology. Topics include: impacts/dependence of humans on forests; transfer and cycling of energy and nutrients; biophysical interactions; and forest management practices. Prereq: Level at least 2A
