The deviance-making process is examined in a variety of social contexts. This course examines the emergence of rules and control agencies, the processes by which people become involved in deviant activities, and the contingencies affecting their careers as deviants. Prereq: SOC 101 or 120R(Cross-listed with SOC 223R)
