This course will trace the history of the Russian Revolution from 1861 to 1924. It will examine the root causes of the Revolution, the rise of the Bolshevik Party and its seizure of power, and the ensuing civil war, culminating in the establishment of a communist dictatorship. Prereq: Level at least 3A
