The course will explore the scientific principles affecting the ecological structure and function of watersheds as well as emerging threats to environmental quality. Case studies, with an emphasis on Canadian and local examples, will be used to more fully understand scientific principles and explore the impacts of natural and human activities on the ecology of drainage basins.
