A focus on the construction of small scale buildings will introduce the fundamentals of building construction demonstrating relationships between design development and: building techniques, materials, building science and construction practices, factors of environment, climate and geology. Case studies and projects for small-scale buildings to investigate: climate, solar geometry, soils, foundations, wood frame, stone and masonry construction.
